FS2000 Air Bristol BAC1-11 Package with "Standard" Cockpit panel layout with Category 2/3 autoland.

Performance
------------
Power: 2 X 12,550 lb st RR Spey Mk 512
Maximum Cruise speed: 530 mph. Normal Cruise 0.72-0.74 Mach
Economical Cruise speed: 461 mph at 25,000 ft
Maximum Cruise Altitude: 30,000 ft
Maximum Range: 2,149 miles

Starting Procedure.......
1. Check Engine Ignition Switches at top of cockpit panel are set to on, and the fuel HP Shutoff Levers on the throttle panel are in the 'ON' position.
2. Press Ctrl and E to start the engines.
3. Set Flaps to 7 or 10 Units, depending on runway length. A minimum of 5000/5500 ft is needed, depending on temperature.
4. Rotate aircraft at 145 to 150 kts airspeed, gear up and retract flaps at around 2000 ft, and below 200 kts.

Using the Autopilot......
1. To use the Altitude hold, when the required height is approximately reached select Alt Hold and engage Elevator Channel and select required altitude/vertical speed.
2. To Use Heading/Course modes, select Aileron Channel and Nav or HDG or APP.
3. To quickly disengage the autopilot mode, just click the mouse pointer on the Elevator or Aileron Channel Switches.

Stall Speeds........
1. 125 kts with 0 Flaps and gear up.
2. 114 kts with 10 units Flaps and gear down.
3. 102 kts with 35 units Flaps and gear down.

This is with John Hamer's BAC1-11 model.

To Land the aircraft manually........
Because of the restricted view, which makes the cockpit ideal for instrument flying and training, an autopilot coupled approach must be used.
1. Set up approach at 20 miles DME at 210 kts/3000-4000 ft and use Heading mode to fly to LOC Beam.
2. Select Auto APP,and when the LOC Beam is tracked, de-select Elevator Channel.
3. Reduce speed to 180 kts,Gear Down, and select flaps to 15 units in stages.
4. At 4 miles DME/Outer Marker,descend at 1500 to 2000 ft/min to check aligned with runway.
Select flaps to 25/35 units, depending on runway length.
5. Throttle reduced to idle at 2 miles, reduce rate of descent to 250 ft/min or less at Radio Altitude height of 100 ft. Press F2 key to operate reverse thrust, and operate spoilers/brakes.
6. Press F3 to stop reverse thrust.

Using the Autoland.........(Autopilot must be engaged in Aileron and Elevator Channels and no wind selected in FS2000 Weather.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note:The autoland cannot cope with any sidewind selected, and will try to land the aircraft off to one side of the runway on the grass. This seems to be a FS2000 bug.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Select the runway ILS frequency on the radio panel, and adjust the course setting to the runway magnetic heading.
2. Set up approach at 20 miles DME at 210 kts/3000-4000 ft and use Heading mode to fly to LOC Beam. When Beam deviation bar is nearly centred, select APPR on the A/P.
3. Reduce speed to 180 kts, Gear Down, and select flaps to 15 units in stages.
4. Within 5 to 6 miles DME, disengage the Autothrottle as there is no Autoland speed control facility, extend flaps and manually reduce speed to 160kts.
5. Manually reduce speed down to 140kts approx. to 2 miles DME, flaps fully extended, then reduce power to idle (120-125kts) at 1 mile DME.
6. At 50ft Radio Altitude select full Speed Brake, then operate Thrust Reversers(F2) and Brakes.
7. Press F3 to stop reverse thrust.
